My Take On The trending Social Media Platform called Vero

My take on the trending Social Network called Vero

You may have been hearing rumblings about the 'trending' social media app that is hoping to disrupt the present State of Social Media. It's been gaining more traction on other social media platform stages over the recent days, despite the fact that it's been around for quite some time now. It aims to be ad-free and without an algorithm.

But what is Vero and why should you give it a try.

What is Vero - True Social?

The word 'Vero' is Italian for 'true' and the center thought behind the service is that it will provide a social media network that never runs ads and it's not dictated by an algorithm. A standard motto you get when you join is that Vero is a 'relationship first social network' that 'aims to align physical world connections to online experience'.

How's Vero Different?

Aside from the previously mentioned no-ads policy and algorithm, there are three center precepts to Vero's app focused on what you can share, who you share it with and how you find the contents you need to see. Also, the design is pretty awesome.

When you post on Vero, you have a decision to include movies/tv, music, books, places, photos and straight links.

Who you share that content with is entirely up to you. Vero has four separate 'tiers' that enable you to choose who your content goes to. While creating a post, you can set it to simply be seen by your close friends, your friends, acquaintances or your followers.

When you add a contact to the service, you set which of those 'tiers' they fall under. Your contacts won't know what social circle they are in so you won't ruin any relationships like back in the 'MySpace Top 8' days. You can also filter what you see from your friends in terms of what they link. If you're sick of one friends music recommendations, you can turn that off.

Lastly, the search function is useful when trying to find a specific pop culture category you're interested in. If you want to find out what your friends are saying about a new film, you can search your Collections and see everything everyone you know or follow has posted about it.

Why should you use Vero?

This is my take on the social media platform, Vero is awesome and I personally love it. As a blogger it will be very helpful to me, so I don't see any reason why I shouldn't like it.

Why you should use Vero isn't really a question that i can answer, frankly. Are you over the algorithm bullshit and updates from other platform like instagram and snapchat? Maybe you're tired of seeing Neo-Nazi's in your Twitter feed! Maybe you're concerned that web-based social networking locales are tuning in on you and tailoring ads to you.

I can't answer that question for you - all i can do is simply provide you with the facts. For me, the biggest selling point early is that there are no advertisements and that the feed is in chronological order. I didn't know how much I'd missed that, particularly with respect to seeing other people's' content.

How Do You Sign up for Vero?

Hold up a moment. Registration issues have emerged over the most recent few days because of the volume of users. This was announced on Vero's Twitter February 22nd. It seems like services have returned to normal for now and registration ought to work as normal.

We have patched our servers and believe we have resolved the registration issue. Please let us know if you still have issues registering. Thank you so much for your patience.

If you want to sign up for Vero, you can do so by downloading the app Here.

The registration procedure requires you to give your mobile number, so Vero can text or call you and register you with the platform through a four-digit code. Vero recommends that the reason behind acquiring your phone number is to verify and to connect you to your friends.

If you're bothered with yet another social media platform to stay on top, well, don't download the app!
